We stayed at Hera Rooms & Suites during our 15-day Sicily trip, and it was easily one of our favorite accommodations.
The rooms were spotless, modern, spacious, and very comfortable. The air conditioning worked great, the shower was excellent, and the bed was hands down the most comfortable we had during our entire trip. The complimentary bottled water in the minibar was also a nice touch.
Breakfast was outstanding, with a great selection of pastries, fruit, juices, eggs, salumi, and delicious fresh ricotta.
What truly sets this property apart, however, is the host, Alberto. He was an absolute gem from start to finish. Friendly, welcoming, responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great stay. Communication through WhatsApp was seamless, and he was always available to answer questions, provide recommendations, and help with logistics. Of all the hosts we encountered during our two weeks in Sicily, Alberto was without question the best.
Parking was another major advantage. Just steps from the property, there is a secure gated parking area, and Alberto provided us with the keys so we could come and go without worrying about the safety of our rental car. Having convenient and secure parking made exploring Agrigento much easier.
The location is excellent as well, situated roughly between the Valley of the Temples and the historic city center. One thing visitors should know is that much of Agrigento is built on hills, so walking to attractions like the Cathedral involves a fairly significant uphill climb. After a long day of exploring, we happily took advantage of a taxi service recommended by Alberto to get up to the historic center and then walked back downhill afterward.
Honestly, it's difficult to find any real negatives about this property. If we had to mention one thing, it would be that the building can be slightly challenging to locate on your first arrival, and the road in front can be a bit busy. That said, Alberto provided excellent directions and guidance ahead of time, making the process straightforward.
Overall, Hera Rooms & Suites exceeded our expectations in every way. Between the immaculate rooms, outstanding breakfast, secure parking, convenient location, and Alberto's incredible hospitality, this was one of the highlights of our Sicily trip. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Agrigento.

The room we had was a great size, very clean and with a beautiful large bathroom. Everything was super modern .
The staff who greeted us and and looked after us for breakfast were very pleasant and courteous. The breakfast itself was plentiful! This is a gem.
We walked up the hill both nights for drinks/ dinner . And from the rooms to valley of the temples and back . So if you’re ok with walking you’re in a great position.
