The location of the property is indeed very close to ideal, as it is located two blocks away from Nara Park with all the major sights in walking distance. In fact, we had a deer family (the famous tame Nara Deer) greeting us for our arrival. The apartment offers several adjacent rooms and an extra bedroom up a steep stairwell (which we did not use). All kitchen necessities and a large dining table were provided, and there was enough overall space to spread our luggage and hang our raincoats (NOT a given in Japan!). Once we found the building, the house keys were easy to retrieve from the lock box, whose code had been sent to us the day before. And of course: shoes off at the entrance!
Like all private homes in Japan, this house too has no street address like in American or European cities. The address is a neighborhood address, and there are no house numbers. One has to know the neighborhood like a mailman. Consequently, our taxi driver could not find the place with the information provided on our booking sheet (the map only gave an approximation and the photograph did not show the street face of the building). Fortunately, there was a phone number provided, which he called for guidance, but even then with the other party on the phone, it took him another ten minutes to identify the correct building, which was actually right in front of us, but had no further identifier. This building is a two story affair directly on a very busy street, and it is - sorry to say that - a bit dated. The bathroom - while clean - had a musty smell and the beds were excruciatingly hard. But hey: price and location were spot on!

One of the best homes we’ve stayed in. The location is excellent—so close to the deer park that you can easily walk there. The neighborhood is very quiet, and parking is conveniently located just around the corner and affordable.
The house itself is spacious and well-equipped, with everything you need in the bathroom, kitchen, and laundry areas. Complimentary snacks and drinks were a nice touch. Each room has its own A/C unit, allowing you to set the temperature to your liking. It was especially enjoyable for all of us to sit together around the heated table. The separate toilet and shower areas worked perfectly for the four of us.

宿泊予約の時と実際に支払う場合に金額が増えていました。清掃料金との事でしたがそもそも宿泊費に込みなのが当たり前かと思いました。
