The location was excellent right in the centre of town without being noisy.

Not an issue for us but the apartment is up two flights of really steep stairs with no lift so that may be an issue for some people.

The apartment is very central. Location couldn’t be better. Right by the Cathedral and all the happening, but on a quiet street. On the positive side: Small, but fully functional. There were oil, vinaigrette, salt and pepper provided. Staff was nice and communicative before and during our arrival. There were even a washer and a flashlight. There was a toaster, moka pot for coffee, kettle and induction stove top, cleverly covered with glass for more countertop space when not in use. The shower had great hot water, the bed was comfortable, too. Good thick towels, dryer rack for the laundry. We were there in a very rainy and cold January and were happy with the way the heating worked. Nicely decorated too. Before addressing the negative side, I should mention that we are in our 70s. On the top of it, it rained heavily during our stay so we were forced to stay inside a lot more than one would usually do. We fond the sofa not that comfortable for a long stay. The living area has no window, and one has to use lights during daytime. We also didn’t realize that the property was on the 3rd floor North American standard, (2nd floor, European standards). Steep (for us) stairs lead to the apartment. These was no elevator. Thus, the property is not ideal for older people like us or appropriate for those with mobility issues. But most of the properties in the centers of the old European cities are like this. The plates/dishes/glasses are minimal – 2 or 3 of each. A tea towel or other kitchen drying towel would have been nice too. Not the host’s fault, but there were a few nights when it was very noisy in the apartment above us. We expect if someone arrives after midnight, they’ll be quiet. We had some minor issues and left a day early. The issues were properly addressed by the owner, who was very understanding and accommodating.
