Das Cottage liegt wunderschön und ruhig mitten im North York Moors Nationalpark. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, schön und geschmackvoll. Es gehören eine Terrasse und kleiner Garten dazu. Das Bad ist ganz neu und modern. Für uns war auch der große Kühlschrank und separate kleine Gefrierschrank super - wir haben einen Großeinkauf gemacht und konnten alles unterbringen, so dass wir nicht ständig zum Einkaufen mussten.
Da wir nachts ankamen, hat Ann den Schlüssel für uns hinterlegt und außerdem für den ersten Morgen einige Lebensmittel für uns besorgt. Auch sonst sind Ann und Jim sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Während unseres Aufenthaltes wurden Fenster bei ihnen am Haus ausgetauscht, worüber sie uns im Vorfeld informiert haben und als Entschuldigung für die Geräusche während der Bauarbeiten eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit vor die Tür gestellt. Das wäre gar nicht nötig gewesen, wir die Bauarbeiten waren nach zwei Tagen abgeschlossen und wir haben kaum etwas mitbekommen. Trotzdem ist es toll, solch umsichtige Vermieter zu haben.
Für Wanderer: Man kann direkt vom Haus loswandern, andere gute Ausgangspunkte für Wanderungen sind überall in der Nähe, 10 - 20 Minuten Fahrtzeit. Zur Küste ist es auch nicht weit, 20 - 30 Minuten.
Wir haben unsere Zeit, die Natur, die Ruhe sehr genossen und konnten wunderbar entspannen.
Die Matratze war uns zu weich, das mag aber Geschmacksache sein.

An amazing place to stay tucked away in the N York Moors with incredible views over Great Fryup Dale. Extremely peaceful and relaxing. The cottage was well equipped with a great kitchen and bathroom. The bed was firm but comfortable. It had a lovely sunny patio where you could watch the hosts chickens and the wildlife in absolute peace and quiet. The parking was easy to access. Internet was good. A great place from which to explore the N York Moors.
The hosts were lovely and they had left us a very nice welcome pack which included some of their hens' eggs. We are so glad we booked this cottage and hope to return.
There was nothing that we did not like.
