Chill out in the plunge pool, hammocks or huge comfy sofa and be entertained by toucans, scarlet macaws, sloths, all 4 of Costa Rica’s monkey species, whales, dolphins and a bunch of other animals and birds…

Or stroll around our 13 acre jungle property and pick bananas, limes, coconuts and other tropical fruits.

The master bedroom is a screened tranquil oasis on the lower floor, featuring a king-size bed with a brand new organic plush latex mattress, ceiling fan, mosquito net, ensuite bathroom, closet, desk and direct access to the plunge pool. Step out onto the deck to relax with breathtaking views, perfect for unwinding, enjoying an afternoon read, or practicing yoga.

The main floor is a spacious and inviting hub, with panoramic vistas of the ocean and lush greenery offering:
- A fully equipped kitchen and crescent-shaped bar for cooking and socializing.
- A dining area
- Two lounge rooms and a cozy hammock room for ultimate relaxation.
- Plenty of open space for yoga, reading, dancing, or simply enjoying the serene surroundings.
- A second bathroom.

Immersed in Nature
Surrounded by lush rainforest, Casa De Blue offers a daily safari-like experience. Without even leaving your bed, you might glimpse scarlet macaws, toucans, and four species of monkeys.

Eco-Friendly Comfort
Matapalo is an offgrid area. Casa de Blue is powered by a solar system with a backup generator.
Water comes from a local spring that is filtered through a PolyUF system.

THINGS TO KNOW

* A 4x4 vehicle is required year-round to access the property.
* Backwash Beach is just a 10-minute hike or drive away.
* Puerto Jiménez, the nearest town, is a 30-45 minute drive. Be sure to stock up on groceries and essentials before heading to the property, as there are no stores or markets in Cabo Matapalo.
* Optional cooking (simple local meals) and/or kitchen assistance can be provided for an additional fee.
* Laundry service is available for an additional fee.
* Linens and towels are provided and refreshed every three days.
* We offer hot water and fast WiFi.
* You'll be staying in an open-air home, offering a closer connection to nature and its elements than you might be accustomed to.
* If you're here to surf, we kindly ask that you approach the waves with respect, safety, and courtesy to others following normal surfing etiquette.
* We kindly ask that you leave a 5%+ gratuity to our staff if you receive a warm, friendly and accommodating service.
