Family stay

The stairs are a bit small and steep, our eldest fell down them hurting her back There is no hand rail The bed in the large back bedroom isnt very comfortable

Disappointing, basic, functional...left after the first night

The kitchen was large and had all facilities required, that's about all that was positive

The location is on an unkempt, ex Council estate, which is not obvious from the photos. There was significant damp in the kitchen which meant that the house smelt musty on arrival and needed to be aired. The furnishings were basic and functional. Low level areas were mostly clean but high level areas and furnishings (light shades etc) were dusty. The downstairs bathroom window would not close which was a security risk. Some of the windows were stiff and difficult to open and close. The garden is untended and not a pleasant space to sit - we chose not to venture outside. The shower screen in the bathroom did not stay in place and encroached on the bath when showering. The pipework was noisy downstairs when the bathroom was in use. The sofa in the lounge was a sofa bed and very hard. The sofabed only accomodated 3 people and there was only then a study chair for a fourth person. This is not a holiday let, its a house presumably used principally by contractors. Left after the first night as none of my family wanted to stay longer.
