An absolute dream of a guesthouse and probably my favourite place I've ever stayed! Every corner of the building has been so beautifully curated and you can tell that so much love has been poured into the place. As a vegetarian, the breakfast could not have been more ideal in my view, with beautiful fresh produce and delicious cakes to start the day. The pool area is even more beautiful in real life and we loved the beer fridge with local craft beers. The staff are so friendly and interesting, and can't do enough for you. We stayed here at the beginning of our honeymoon and couldn't have chosen a better pousada to start our adventure.
We got a little bit cold at night so would've preferred having an option of a duvet on the bed but that's just personal preference.

The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful, especially when it came to organizing transfers to and from Paraty. Their recommendations on what to do, where to eat, and places to visit were genuinely useful throughout our stay.
Although the pousada is not located directly in the city center, we actually found the location quite convenient. It is a pleasant 30-minute walk, and bikes and Uber are also readily available, so getting around was easy.
The breakfast was good, and we really liked the overall decor and branding of the pousada. The rooms were also clean and well maintained.
Overall, the staff and the attention to detail were definitely among the highlights of our stay.
The location of our room, directly behind the kitchen, was unfortunately not ideal. We were woken up by the sound of the mixer around 7:30 a.m., followed by the noise of other guests arriving for breakfast. At times, it genuinely felt as though we were sleeping inside the kitchen.
We were also unlucky with the weather during our stay, as it was rainy and very humid. However, I think the way the rooms are designed makes them particularly vulnerable to humidity. Even with the door closed, the room felt as though we were almost sleeping outdoors. There are no proper windows, and the room felt consistently damp and humid.
One other area I would suggest improving is the quality and choice of kitchen appliances and utensils. There was quite a lot of plastic, including plastic containers, a plastic kettle, and plastic cutting boards. As someone who is quite health-conscious, I personally try to avoid using hot food or drinks with plastic, so I would really appreciate seeing more glass, stainless steel, or other non-plastic alternatives.
This would also fit particularly well with the pousada’s beautiful natural setting. The property has a strong eco-friendly feel visually, and reducing plastic in the rooms and kitchen would reinforce that impression and make the overall experience feel even more aligned with the concept.

O jardim e os espaços comuns são maravilhosos, e a equipa muito simpática, tanto durante o pequeno almoço como ao longo do dia. Tudo está pensado para uma estadia relaxante e calorosa: diferentes espaços de descanso, bicicletas para chegar ao centro, toalhas de praia e até guarda-chuvas para os dias com chuva. Há uma pequena biblioteca, um gira discos e jogos de tabuleiro. Os quartos são bonitos, e também aí houve muito cuidado com os pormenores: corda para estender os fatos de banho, shampo, amaciador e até creme hidratante… mini frigorífico, ar condicionado, mantas extra. Tudo feito com cuidado. Esperamos voltar!
O edifício é um pouco antigo (é parte do charme), mas como apanhamos dias de chuva, o quarto era um pouco húmido, e as janelas não vedam completamente. Foi ultrapassado com mantas e ar condicionado, por isso não foi um grande problema.
