We had the most amazing time at Hotel Huacas. Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed the room, which was extremely clean with a very nice bed. The hosts Melinda & Miguel were the highlight of our time in Guanacaste though: super hospitable and kind people who make you feel right at home. Great breakfast, great conversations and great advice on where to go to the beach, where to go eat and in general on what to do in the surrounding areas. Oh yeah and their dog Tobi makes sure that everytime you enter the property, you get a smile on your face.

Pasamos una excelente estancia en el hotel Huacas, todo estaba impecable, las instalaciones nuevas, el aire acondicionado y el wi-fi funcionan perfecto, y la ubicaciĆ³n es muy buena, con varios lugares para comer y supermercados cerca, y a pocos minutos en auto de las mejores playas. Miguel y su esposa nos trataron muy bien, nos prepararon excelentes desayunos y todo el tiempo nos dieron ideas y consejos para mejorar nuestro viaje en Guanacaste. 100% recomendable!!

I never thought a hotel stay would leave me feeling like added people to my family but that's exactly what happened when I stayed at Hotel Huacas. Miguel and Melinda (owners of the space) along with Toby, their dog, were more welcoming than I could have imagined.
I had mentioned to Miguel when I arrived that I would love to go fishing if possible and it just so happened that he was going. He invited me to join right away.
Another moment that was special was that when I had car trouble I called Miguel and without missing a beat he came and picked me up from the heart of Tamarindo. How kind is that? I'm so thankful I chose Hotel Huacas.
Make sure you are in communication with Miguel about arrival so that you know exactly where the hotel is. They are relatively new and still waiting on signage.
