The property has undergone a renovation with only a few small finishing touches left to do (no construction during my stay). The property is located in a quiet village neighbourhood. The bedrooms are light and nicely decorated, comfy bed, and although the bathroom was clean and functional during my stay, I understand that these will be completed in the next week.
I could only stay for one night (rather than the 1-2 week Ayurvedic in-patient stays for which the Villa usually caters) and I could luckily be accommodated as the group that was booked had had to cancel due to travel disruptions. The owner, John, was exceptionally hospitable and helpful in arranging massages by a therapist that has previously worked in an Ayurvedic hospital. The meals he prepared were delicious. He also went above and beyond in taking me to see his neighbours who make rope from coconut husk, as well as showing me the local area for which I am very grateful
The property is a little distance from the beach and while walkable, would more easily be reached by bike, scooter or tuk tuk (I understand that John arranges this for people doing the Ayurvedic retreats). I also understand that a pool will be built in the not too distant future so this might provide an alternative on-site cooling off option :)

From the very beginning I felt welcomed and comfortable during my stay. The warm hospitality made the whole experience especially pleasant.
One of the highlights was the Ayurveda program. The Ayurvedic doctor appeared very competent and professional, and the consultations and treatments were carefully tailored to my individual needs. The therapists were attentive and made sure that I felt relaxed and well cared for during every treatment.
The Ayurvedic cuisine was excellent. The meals were coordinated with the doctor and freshly prepared every day using high‑quality ingredients. Everything was healthy, balanced, and very delicious.
The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful and created a very welcoming atmosphere. I also appreciated the fresh King Coconuts he offered – they were delicious and very refreshing.
There is also a convenient tuk‑tuk transfer service to the beach, which only takes about five minutes and is very easy to arrange. At the beach you can find fantastic fresh fruit juices.
Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable stay, and I can highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Ayurveda, great food, and genuine Sri Lankan hospitality.
