This was only the third or fourth hostel I'd ever stayed in, so I wasn't sure how comfortable I'd feel with this kind of accommodation. In the end, I stayed for 27 days and left feeling like I was leaving a home, not a hostel.
One thing that made a big difference for me: even though it's a hostel, each guest has their own small private room. That alone changes the whole experience: you actually get a sense of privacy, which isn't something you'd expect in a hostel setting. The common area is spacious enough that guests can hang out without getting in each other's way.
The place is always clean and cozy, with a genuinely warm atmosphere. I've stayed with different hosts before, and the vibe can vary a lot, from distant to friendly. Here, it was completely different: the host is extremely hospitable, attentive and helpful and actually listens when you have a request or a suggestion. Small things, but they make a real difference: free tea, coffee, and water are included, which isn't a given at every hostel. There's also a small terrace right outside, with a couch and a table, perfect for having tea, smoking, or just sitting outside without really leaving the hostel. I spent a lot of evenings there.
The location is great too. It's close to the city center and the 28 May metro station, with cafes, restaurants, shops, and a mall within walking distance. There are also a few good bakery spots nearby, perfect for a quick, simple breakfast.
So I'm happy with my choice. It's rare to find a place where you actually feel at home.
