Just what I needed, a relaxed cottage in a lovely village , chip shop was brilliant ,
I loved my stay at the cottage, for me and the reason for my trip to Yorkshire it was perfect,if I need to be in this area again for family visits I’d hire again, the fence in garden was very good for my dog to be safe in the garden , thank you
Nothing it was fab,
I had a small
Issue with hot water but it was addressed after a quick text and worked fine,
I liked the idea of lighting a fire to be cosy ( not that it was cold) but there was no wood supplied, not really an issue for me but others maybe.

Would be good in warmer months, not so great in colder ones!!
Lovely cottage. Has everything you need for a self catering stay ( except a good heating system unfortunately)
It was very cold whilst I was there. The central heating is run by the dual fuel ( logs or ‘coal’ ) fire in lounge, so if you want the radiators in the central heating system to heat up, you have to not only light the fire but get it very hot and keep it hot before any radiators will warm up! And even then they don’t get that hot! Since the only bathroom is downstairs and in an extension at the back, this radiator never got warm enough. Not good if you want a shower and you’re there in winter! Yes there are 2 electric radiators but there is, rightly so, no socket in or near bathroom so it can’t be heated that way either! And as for the remainder of the house,by the time any radiators get warm, the lounge area where the fire is, has got very hot! And all the wood and fuel cost me a small fortune for the week I was there. I think this should have been explained more in the description! All in all not a very practical heating system for stays that are in colder months I’m afraid!!
Keys are easy to collect but are around the back which means when you leave, you have to walk across a grassy area to get from the back gate to your vehicule! Again this is ok in summer but not suitable with bags / cases etc when grass is wet and muddy!!

Really peaceful stay
Clean and tidy
Everything was ok. Front door sticks and toilet seat fixing was broken but nothing major
