A safari experience to share

Villa Mangwa is our spacious private bush villa for families and friends who want to experience the African wilderness together, without giving up comfort, space or privacy. Set on Silonque Holiday Estate, directly bordering Kruger National Park, the villa accommodates up to 6 guests and is only around 15 minutes from Phalaborwa Gate.

Wildlife roams freely across the estate, so the safari experience doesn't necessarily begin when you enter Kruger. Elephants, giraffes, antelope and other animals may appear around the villa, and a small waterhole nearby attracts wildlife throughout the year.

Space to be together, privacy when you want it

Mangwa has three spacious bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom and outdoor shower. The main bedroom has a king-size bed, while the other two bedrooms have twin beds. This makes the villa particularly comfortable for families, couples travelling together or a group of friends: everyone has their own private space, while the generous living areas are designed for spending time together.

At the heart of the villa is a large open-plan living area with a comfortable lounge, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. Large doors connect the interior with the outdoor living spaces, allowing the sounds and atmosphere of the bush to become part of your stay.

Your own place in the African bush

Outside, there is plenty of space to relax, dine together or enjoy a traditional South African braai. After a day exploring Kruger, unwind in your private hot tub and listen to the sounds of the bush around you.

One of Mangwa's highlights is the large rooftop deck. From here, you can look out across the surrounding bushveld, watch for wildlife and birds, enjoy the African sunset together and, after dark, experience a night sky far away from city lights.

Guests also have access to the shared facilities of Silonque Holiday Estate, including two swimming pools, a tennis court and viewpoint.

Kruger on your doorstep

Phalaborwa Gate is approximately 15 minutes away, making Mangwa an excellent base for early-morning game drives and full days in Kruger National Park. Phalaborwa itself is also around 15 minutes away for supermarkets, shops and restaurants.

But Mangwa isn't a place you have to leave every day to experience Africa. Sometimes the most memorable moments happen at home: breakfast while watching the bush, an unexpected wildlife visitor, sunset from the rooftop or an evening together under the stars.
