Close enough to town to pick up supplies, yet far enough away to leave life’s stresses behind, this secluded coastal retreat in Hakahaka Bay (Port Underwood) offers the perfect escape. Just a 30-minute drive from Picton on a sealed road, this tranquil spot is ideal for unwinding, exploring, and making the most of Marlborough’s stunning scenery.

Nestled just 200 meters from the beach, our charming three-bedroom, two-story bach is perfect for families, couples, or keen fishers. With modern comforts and a classic Kiwi bach feel, you’ll have everything you need for a memorable stay.

The Space:
• Sleeps up to 5 guests across 3 bedrooms.
• Indoor toilet & shower, plus an additional outdoor toilet & shower for added convenience.
• Open-plan living area with a cosy lounge, TV, dining table, and a fully equipped kitchen—perfect for home-cooked meals.
• A spacious deck where you can relax, soak in the views, and enjoy the sounds of native birdsong.
• Plenty of parking space for cars and boats.
Surrounded by Nature & Wildlife:
• Abundant birdlife—tūīs, wood pigeons (kererū), and friendly fantails (pīwakawaka) visit daily, while sneaky weka often pop by to say hello.
• A small creek at the back of the property, home to tame eels—a unique experience for nature lovers.
• Native bush and peaceful surroundings, making it the perfect place to unwind.
Outdoor Activities & Adventures:
• Safe and sheltered beach, perfect for swimming.
• Fantastic fishing, with crayfish, kahawai, blue cod, butterfish, and moki all available for the keen angler.
• Kayaking, diving, and boating—launch straight from the beach or use the boat ramp just 5 minutes away in Oyster Bay.
• Kayak available for guest use with basic fishing rods.
• Mount Robertson is close by for those nature walkers as well as doc land within 5mins drive for the adventurist / hunter.

Important Information:
• Under Kiwi bach tradition, guests are expected to clean all areas, do the dishes, and take their rubbish with them before departure.
• Please bring your own linen, including sheets, pillowcases, and towels.

Frequent guests may have access to a 4.4m boat on request - additional fees would apply
