Dirty horrible accommodation that was simply not worth the money charged - horrible experience!!
The property was in easy travelling distance of amenities and local places.
The accommodation looked like someone had just bought the property and rented it out without any care to the guests paying good money to stay in it. It was a disgusting excuse for a rental - DO NOT BOOK !!!!!
One of the double bedrooms was not useable due to the stench in it and the other bedroom which we used the double bed was held in the middle by a clump of wood very very unsafe . The general state of the place was very tatty and unclean without any love or care gone into it at all.
We asked the owner via messenger on booking.com with regards to the shower and where you turn it on and never got a reply. Thank goodness we worked out the shower ourself. Compared to other places we have stayed as we were waiting to move into a house we bought full time the accommodation was certainly not worth the money charged in its current condition. All of the walls in the property were in a disgusting state and the whole experience was miserable.

Filthy, dirty
We liked it for the good location. The Sandowner Park is nice and well looked after (but not the challet itsef). The location is really quiet.
The challet was dirty, filthy tbh. Not one cobweb (which may be made over night) but it is Halloween ready, as the cobwebs are everywhere, all rooms, kitchen, bathroom, windows, etc. And those cobwebs without trying to look for them.
The floor was dirty, again everywhere, not just in one missed spot (which may happen to the best of us)
The kitchen worktop wasn't clean, there were dog hair on the kitchen tiles and cooker. The cooker was greasy and dirty (the knobs), and I didn't even dare to look inside. Socket, kettle, fridge, microwave was dirty too. The kitchen bin still had waste in it.
In the rooms, the mattress did not fit the bed, the bedding was stained, and it looked as if it was not even changed from the previous visit. There was dirt, on the bed sheet, and on the duvet, as well as the dogs hair all over it.
There was dust and dirt everywhere. It does need a deep clean.
We phoned the owner, and he forwarded our number to his cleaner- which I don't think we should be doing - dealing with the cleaner to to their job properly. The cleaner was rude, and we could not come to the agreement that we deserve a clean place. We were told that she has to travel at least 30 minutes one way to clean- I am sorry but that is poor excuse, or that the place was cleaned on Sunday and it is spider season, so the cobwebs appearing daily )i agree to some extent) or that she has whatever number of other chalets that she cleans, whichvis irrelevant, or maybe she has to many of them and she cannot manage to spend enough time to clean.
It would have been a nice family break, but we ended up buying our own bedding to use as we did not trust it was changed for clean one.
