The view and free parking
The front door system was difficult to operate without instructions. The next door neighbor came to help and even experienced troubles.
We were told free parking was available, but it’s location was never explained. The friendly neighbor again helped us out by explaining where we could park.
Directions in the laundry room said we could wash one load of clothing. We experienced difficulties with spin cycle and the front dryer door was cracked with a hole in the front door so we were not sure if it worked or if we should even use it.

Nice view from the terrace at the first floor.
A nice walk to the summit lookout views over Alesund, starting from the house.
Nice bed and wonderful shower.
- Checkin could be better instructed. Entering the apartment is a hassle. Due to the fact that the electronic lock on the door doesn't function well. The mechanical voice tells you that the code is wrong, and that the alarm might not be switched of and so there is a failure. But after a 5-6 seconds delay the door gets open. Of course we did not know.
- Closing the apartment provides the same hassle.
- Cleaning poor, coincidentally we dropped something and found out there was a huge pile of dust underneath the bed. Kitchen drawers are dirty.
- Terrible entrance through the garden which looks like a jungle. You have to do effort in order to reach the door. You and the luggage get wet due to the plants and grass while heading for the main door.
- Behind the house there is a garden but impossible to use as the plants are more than 1 meter high, Plus no chairs or whatsoever.
- Glasses and cups inventory in the kitchen was poor, even for 2 people and please provide some sharper knives.
- I didn't like the message that we could only use the wash machine once. That wifi was checking if you used it more and in that case you must pay 100 NOK per time. Was not indicated on beforehand at booking.
- Only 2 chairs on only the upper terrace.
- Poor curtains in bedroom which is not practical as it stays light till almost midnight and it doesn't get really very dark.
We don't understand the wording "Elegant" townhouse.
