Home is cozy and has just about everything you need for a good stay. The A/C in the bedroom gets nice and cool perfect for those hot Bohol days. Bed is cozy with quality linens. The free water was great and has a setting to heat up the water for coffee/tea. Fridge worked great also and freezer makes ice quick.
The stay got off to a rough start with the host changing the rules he had originally sent me. He originally stated that no visitors are allowed after 10pm. Then a day later he sends a message saying no visitors after 6pm (claiming that the 10pm rule is only for short term stays.) His messages made the first part of my stay nerve wracking and stressful. I ended up having to call booking.com customer service twice to see if I could get some kind of resolution for the issue. They weren't much help but the host did seem to relax a bit after. At the end of the stay I had a bisaya speaking friend come over to help me with my luggage. The host didn't tell me this directly, (even though he does speak english just fine) but apparently I was accused of unplugging the CCTV to "sneak people in the home" for the last few days of the stay (I was at no point informed of any issue regarding the CCTV, no messages, etc.) During check out when speaking to me he was friendly and smiling. But to my friend there were negative things being said about me that I did not appreciate.
