A WORD OF CAUTION

I would strongly advise future guests to exercise caution before booking this property. Upon arrival, we were met with a strong and unmistakable smell consistent with cigarette smoke, despite the listing clearly advertising the apartment as non-smoking. As we were travelling with our 9-month-old baby, this was completely unacceptable and we had no choice but to leave immediately and find alternative accommodation at short notice, late on a Sunday evening. What was even more disappointing than the condition of the property was the host’s response. Rather than acknowledging the issue or showing any willingness to investigate or resolve the situation, the host categorically denied the problem and refused to take any responsibility whatsoever. The tone of communication was dismissive and accusatory, suggesting that we fabricated the issue as an “excuse” to change plans, which is both untrue and highly unprofessional. This experience resulted in significant stress, inconvenience, and additional costs for our family. At a minimum, one would expect a host to handle such concerns with professionalism and a willingness to find a fair resolution. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this property.

Great stay, in a scenic venue, with town and mountains easily accessible. Good value for money.

Location is excellent, close to funicular, shops and restaurants. The studio is in a beautiful, grand old building opposite the thermal baths and very evocative of an earlier era. Well equipped with everything you could need.

The bed, a pullout sofa due to space, was not very comfortable and was difficult to get in and out of for two people sharing. Bathroom is tiny. Just a fraction more space and a proper bed would have made it perfect.
