We have stayed at Sea Temple before and love it. The pool is amazing. We had an apartment with a rooftop spa pool which we also enjoyed. The apartments are well equipped and spacious. Easy access to the apartment and great communication from the hosts. We could watch Ulysses and Cairns Birdswing butterflies from our balcony.
For some the distance from the main street in Port Douglas may be an issue. We had a car and it was a bonus being that bit closer to the main highway for going to the Daintree and beyond which we did a few days. The only issue was trying to rent a Beam scooter from an area with no cellphone coverage.

Pretty good, we had stayed there 13 years ago and it is nice
Getting a little run down, so perhaps overpriced these days.

The key code is a great way to access the property. The apartment was comfortable. Lots of good quality towels (they are needed as it is so humid they don't dry outside of a dryer). A few extras in the apartment such as washing powder and dishwashing tablets.
Needs some additional maintenance such as washing mattress protectors, doonas and cushions. Spa could not be used due to water quality and an ants nest. The apartment you see is not the one you get as we were wanting a 3 seater sofa but ours did not have it. Coffee pods were all decaf!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sea Temple. The resort is amazing, great quiet location really close to the beach. We rented our apartment with private owners and room was immaculately clean, comfortable bed, well equipped with all the amenities and more. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Our hosts Kirrily and Aidan were attentive and ensured we felt truly welcome. Would highly recommend and most definitely will be booking again.

Apartment was very comfortable , pool area was good
Didn’t have car so had to rely on shuttles etc , restaurant food at resort was average and expensive however staff were very pleasant

Lovely apartment with a great pool, car parking and roof top spa.

This is a lovely resort with a spectacular pool. Rooms are nicely decorated and well equipped.
The food options are a bit limited, and the location out of town means an Uber in when you want an alternative - not a big issue. The nice part of this is you’re away from the tourist fray.

Lovely staff, heated kids pool
Premium price but not a premium experience. Very basic kitchen equipment which was a challenge, no room service (as the apartment is privately owned but room service is available within the Sea Temple), basic blankets on beds from Kmart. Layout of the Sea Temple is convoluted and made for a lengthy walk with a young family. Worth noting for those travelling with kids that the beach is a dog off leash beach.

The resort pool connects all the apartment blocks, allowing ground floor apartments direct access to the pool. We had the penthouse and enjoyed the jacuzzi. The availability of the washing machine and dryer in the apartment is well thought of. Kitchen is equipped.
A number of light bulbs needed to be replaced - bbq area, terrace outside living room cannot be used in the evening as the lights are not working. Only one spotlight works above kitchen counter by the stove.

Lovely bright unit , comfy bed and ammenities at resort are great. Private booking with owners which I’ve never done before. Owners were polite and prompt to follow up on any requirements we had on our stay.
Located bit far out from town where all shops and restaurants are. Lucky we had a hire car. Confusion with booking as I thought I’d booked with resort but it was with owners. Worked out fine as the owners were great to deal with.

Great room, we rented a studio that is owned privately and the couple we dealt with were lovely and very accommodating. Lots of fresh towels, very comfortable bed. Lovely. The resort itself is pretty but
They could use a gardener and someone to clean around the pool. At no point did I see anyone doing this which I thought was very unusual for a resort like this.
Also we weren’t very impressed with someone testing our lock on our bedroom door at 7am without warning or explaining who they were before they left. We had reported that it wasn’t working but this wasn’t any of the people we had reported it to.
Also quite a distance out of the main part of Port Douglas, you couldn’t walk there.

Noise of conference party in the evening.

Lovely apartment, bed extremely comfortable and would definitely return.

Property was very clean and well positioned in relation to the complex
Expensive breakfast and lots of maintenance works going on with early morning noise.

the extra room and extra bathroom is great, perhaps unnecessary for a couple, but the kitchenette was great for anyone wanting to cook, the lounge is seperate from the rooms and you can watch a movie without it being to loud for early sleepers. it had a nice balcony location to for morning coffee’s. overall the room is very spacious and has all conveniences, you wont be able to walk into town as its a 5km drive so u will need a car, you can walk to the beech easily, maybe 200m walk. the pool is good, familys seem to love it and mum & dad have a comfy poolside bar
at least with the room we had, it felt overused and in need of an update, scuffs on walls, dirty couches, and stained bed heads, overused mattress. no ventilation in bathroom required the ac to be left on, the roof top spa felt slimy and had a strong chlorine smell which to me implies the water is dirty. i did appreciate the nespresso machine and ample pods.

Luxurious, coffee machine & pods supplied!
Breakfast not included. Young children waking us up very early because the beautiful large lagoon comes up to the front of the unit - guess noise travels up to 2nd floor!

Everything! spacious apartment, well laid out and kitchen has everything you could want. love the view over the pool and roof top. Spa bath in bathroom is great and is perfect for a family. Absolutely loved the swimming pool! Resturant terrific for dinner and breakfast. Convenient location and parking.
Nothing! We would love to stay again!

The apartment is in a great location, nice quiet spot on the lagoon but still close enough to the pool bar and main swimming area. We loved doing laps of the lagoon! The apartment itself had everything we needed, full kitchen, spacious, nice outdoor area and direct pool access. Perfect! 👌🏻We are definitely hoping to make a return booking. We loved being in and around Port Douglas too. We had plenty of relaxation time but also loved going out to the Great Barrier Reef and Mossman Gorge. Stunning places to visit and swim. Also very easy to access via all of the different cruise options. Lots of different places to eat around town too. We LOVED Port Douglas! ❤️
There was one disappointing thing about our stay here and that was not being able to charge things straight to our room because we had booked privately. Some of the staff at the resort certainly let us know about it and that they were unable to treat us like other guests. But we got used to it and we were still able to make purchases at the restaurant and bar, we just couldn’t run a tab.

The facilities are great. The pool is a major drawcard - we spent hours down there! The apartment was fine and well equipped with washing machine and dryer and lots of spare towels. Coffee pod machine and extra pods was appreciated!
The apartment met all our needs just fine but some of the furniture looked like it needed good cleaning or replacing. Didn’t detract from our stay though.

The pool was amazing
There is nowhere at the property to buy simple things like sunscreen, snacks etc. You have to catch a shuttle ($13 return) into Port Douglas.
Only one restaurant at the property, it would be nice to have other options to choose from. Again you can travel into Port Douglas that has multiple options. Too far to walk into town

The hotel was stunningly beautiful. The whole atmosphere with the layout of the pool and landscaping was breathtaking. Having a roof top penthouse with easy access to the spa and courtyard on the roof all to ourselves made the stay that extra special. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, dining at the hotel restaurant whilst overlooking the pool and resort was a highlight plus the food was on par with the standard of the hotel.
There wasn’t much we didn’t like about the property if anything. The only thing was the roller blinds to the balcony weren’t blockouts, providing privacy during the day but meaning at night with the blinds down and the lights on privacy was minimal to the lounge room and kitchen/dining areas. Not sure if this is a resort design requirement, and definitely wasn’t going to ruin everything else the property had going for it.
Had a slight issue with keycard entry, was only a battery needed replacement in the door lock. The issue was fixed promptly with excellent communication from our hosts Kirrily and Aidan.

The size of the property means you actually don’t feel crowded even when there are lots of people about.
A complimentary hotel shuttle service in to Macrossan street would be ideal as it’s pretty costly for multiple ppl to travel back and forth on the local service.
