cosy compact in nice setting convenient to local town. Need a few extra small essentials to justify the cost.

Quiet position , plenty of space outside with lovely open view. Close to supermarket. Good area of decking for sitting out. We had a problem with the gas oven. It was sorted quickly.

Not enough hooks. Nowhere to hang damp towels. Needed a microwave, cafetière and kitchen scissors. Also an extra cupboard to store food.

Biting insects! There were quite a few earwigs but should be expected in a wooden building on a farm!

Exceeded Expectations

This was a brilliant place to stay for just the two of us. The lodge has a beautiful view across the fields, with the river Alde in the far distance. Sitting on the porch watching the sun set was a fantastic start to our little holiday. The bed was comfortable enough, and it was generally quite clean. The lodge really suited just the two of us, and we cooked full meals when we were there. I'd definitely recommend visiting here - I'd go back if I had the chance. We had a bathroom blockage on Saturday morning as well, and we called the emergency number - we had a plumber out within 30 minutes. Smooth and efficient service.

An absence of hooks in the bathroom (only a small thing) What the owners have no control over and is just a recommendation for future visitors - I would definitely recommend bringing an anti-bug candle if you want to sit outside when the sun has set.
