C’est un bel établissement, sa construction a été faite avec de nombreux éléments de qualité. Il y a rien qu’à voir l’épaisseur des portes, le petit déjeuner était copieux varié.

Peut-être simplement la difficulté d’allumer les lumières dans les chambres, c’est un peu compliqué, j’ai dû faire appel à la dame de la Reception

The hotel is located in a quiet location near a shopping centre and the Pompidou centre. Only abot 20 minutes to walk to the old town. The staff are helpful and friendly, a quick check in and great bar staff.

Entering were greeted by a rather unpleasant smell in the lobby - sewage? - but at least cool on a hot afternoon. The room was clean but that is about it. In terms of a triumph of form over function, the room design had it all. Lights that were too dim to be of use, switches whose use defied us, a toilet without a hand basin, the basin being at the opposite end of the room and roughly the size of a hand basin suited to a toilet.. the bathroom was screened by a sliding partition which also screened the coffee machine and area to hang clothes. Open one, close the other. The joy of being shut in with the clothes as your partner emerges from the bathroom. The shower managed to leak onto the minute bathroom floor. A big shower though. The worst part was the air conditioning, or rather lack of it. You could alter the settings all you liked but 22.5 degrees was constant throughout our stay. The bed was situated in the centre of the room such that while the room was large, there was little space and the little free space was taken by an intrusive large television set mounted at an angle to the wall with little adjustment. All this means there is no space for a bedside table and no space to leave anything to the side of the bed. Lots of sockets though - presumably so you can sleep with your devices in bed with you. Okay, the design of the hotel is striking, but not user friendly at all
