Location was very handy for walking Offa's Dyke from Hay towards Knighton. Was wonderful to have a warm fire as we came in damp and tired from long days walking. Thank you for providing a basket of logs. It was also easy to cook up for our small group and enjoy breakfasts together in the large kitchen area before going out walking. We had a great birthday celebration at The Harp Inn at Old Radnor which is only 10 minutes away.
Would have been great to have just a little more specific information on the location of the house within the hamlet of Knill, before arriving tired and a bit confused after a days walking. It would also have been wonderful to have two good showers as we were a group of six sharing. There are a couple of other minor details we'll share with the owners directly but nothing that should put off other prospective renters. The house is very well suited for a group and you can immediately settle in and feel at home there.

The location and views are stunning. There are plenty of facilities in the property and lots of utilities and utensils to use for cooking, BBQing etc. Plenty of parking, an ideal place for a group of friends or a family to spend time together, especially if you can use the outdoor space in the summer. It was clean, beds were comfy, and it felt homely and inviting. Also if you appreciate the cosmos, the dark skies are some of the best I’ve seen in the UK. You won’t believe how much of the Milky Way you can see on a clear night!
Showers! Only one of them worked and it was a trickle at best. We understand it’s an old property but it didn’t make it easy for 8 adults for get ready in a morning, and then freshen up after a day walking in 27 degree heat. Having seen other reviews talk about lack of hot water, plumbing etc, it is something the owners need to get looked at. It didn’t spoil our experience and we didn’t feel a need to “kick off” about it as others may do (we’re a bit more resilient than just being keyboard warriors on the internet), but we would definitely advise the owners that the plumbing and water needs some attention. It could spoil a very nice experience for lots of people. Don’t let it put you off booking- the house is worth it for the location, views and overall facilities. But definitely message beforehand to check on the state of the water supply. Also be aware that taxi companies in the area are sporadic at best on availability- so if you’re using it as a base to walk the Offa’s Dyke path, have something prebooked or a plan B at least.

The most gorgeous farmhouse in a wonderful location. We had a wonderful family weekend with the dog.
Everything was great but it was advertised as having a Hot Tub at the property, although this was not the case.

It was amazing property, spacious and well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay there and will be back. The views are stunning, the house is surrounded by fields with cows and sheeps. Amazing!
