The staff was incredibly accommodating! Super friendly and helpful.
Hakone is extremely humid in this month (September) and unfortunately, the room, as well as the extra blankets and pillows, smelled like humidity. Everything else, aside that, was wonderful

This place is a golden standard of hospitality with our stay being totally cozy and attended by extremely helpful hostess. The onsens in private rooms are amazing with views straight into a mountain forest. You could just sit there (or even in the room) and stare into the deep, lush green. Immediate surroundings are tranquil - you need to put a little walk to get to closest shops, cafes, beautiful shrines or mountain trails.

Schöne ruhige Lage, mitten in den grünen Höhen von Hakone, ausgesprochen attraktiv eingerichtetes Ryokan mit Privatonsen im Außenbereich. Das zugehörige Frühstück war vorzüglich.

We stayed at the private onsen room and it was very comfortable. Room was very clean, onsen was great. We sadly couldn’t try the dinner but breakfast was very good. They also picked us from and dropped us off to the nearest bus stop. So even though the location wasn’t the best public transport wise, we were very comfortable getting there. My favorite part was the view.
