I had a wonderful stay at this villa. It was incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Even though it was the end of July, when Cyprus is usually extremely hot, this place was surprisingly cool. At night, it was comfortable enough to sleep without air conditioning, which was amazing. The silence, fresh air, and beautiful surroundings created a true sense of peace and tranquility. I would definitely love to come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway.

Lovely authentic Cypriot stone house in beautiful Stroumpi. Very comfortable beds, lovely pool area, well equipped kitchen, comfortable sitting room and responsive hosts. The house has lovely artwork all around the house that really creates a rare and successful blend of rustic/modern style.

The pool wasn't clean when we arrived which was a shame, but we told the hosts and they sent someone straight away to clean it.

The outdoor area was one of the highlights of the villa, with plenty of seating and a good-sized pool. However, it lacked privacy. The pool and outdoor space are quite exposed to passing vehicles, neighbours, and pedestrians, and there is also an area that can be overlooked. This made it less relaxing than we had expected, particularly if you're looking for a private outdoor space.

Communication with the host was good until our arrival but deteriorated afterwards. The villa address and directions led us around narrow village roads in the dark before we found the property. The key box code was incorrect, and after multiple failed attempts and an unanswered phone call, we eventually gained access ourselves. By almost 10pm we entered a very hot villa and only later discovered the air conditioning had been switched off at the wall, not just via the remotes. As the host knew our estimated arrival time, it would have been appreciated if the villa had been prepared so we arrived to a comfortable temperature, with essential facilities switched on or accompanied by clear instructions. Upstairs, only one remote initially worked, and by the end of our stay none did; we replaced the batteries. That evening we messaged the host about the confusing directions, incorrect key box code, lack of air conditioning and how to operate it. We never received a direct response - only a generic welcome message. The host later contacted us via WhatsApp about the missed call, but after referring them to our message we received no further reply or apology. A cleaner was sent but could not resolve all the issues. She took one air conditioning remote away and never returned it. The villa needs a manual explaining how things work, such as the air conditioning wall switches and indoor shower. We were unable to use the indoor shower properly due to either no hot water or no water pressure. The kitchen lacked a large knife for items such as bread or watermelon. The fridge was noisy and missing shelves, and the bathroom was very small, although the downstairs cloakroom helped. The cleaner and pool maintenance arrived without prior notice, which we did not appreciate. We would have expected to be informed before anyone entered the property. Overall, the lack of communication, follow-up and apology from the host was disappointing.
