I absolutely loved my stay here. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of beautiful Mochlos with the swimming bay and waterfront tavernas just below the apartment. The large terrace was the highlight for me, with wonderful views across the sea and village and plenty of shade. I spent hours out there having breakfast, reading and watching the activity around the bay, and it effectively became the living space of the apartment.
The apartment itself is simple but had everything I needed for a six-night stay, including a well-equipped kitchen and washing machine. Communication with the host was friendly and quick, and I really appreciated being able to check in early. I travelled alone and felt really safe in the apartment and in the village which was lovely.
I originally expected to use Mochlos as a base for exploring eastern Crete, but I enjoyed it so much that I spent several days barely leaving the village — swimming in the bay, relaxing on the terrace and walking down to the tavernas. I was genuinely sad to leave and would happily stay again.
There isn't a sofa or comfortable indoor sitting area in this particular apartment, which wasn't quite what I had expected from initially looking through the property's photos. The host explained that the different accommodation options have their own photographs during the booking process, but I found the overall presentation a little confusing.
In practice this bothered me much less than I initially expected because the terrace became my main living space. The apartment is small so the indoor space is well arranged and there's no space for any extra furniture. The mattress is quite hard, but typical of the type you find in hotels and holiday apartments.
The terrace itself is fantastic, but the outdoor furniture is fairly basic. Some upgraded, more comfortable lounge-style furniture would make much better use of such a wonderful space and would particularly help compensate for the lack of indoor lounge seating.

Bel appartamento con una vista fantastica. La posizione è perfetta, i letti comodi ed è tutto pulitissimo. Ci ritornerei sicuramente.
L'unica cosa che non mi è piaciuta sono state l'assenza di zanzariere sulla porta di accesso al balcone e l'allagamento post doccia in bagno. Sono estremamente rigidi con l'orario del check out. La signora delle pulizia aveva così fretta alle 11 di farci uscire che mentre scendevamo con le valigie ci ha "aiutato" buttando nel pattume la nostra busta con la spesa alimentare...

Logement très propre et très bien situé sur la petite anse de Mochlos, avec une super terrasse d'où l'on entend le bruit des vagues. A moins d'une minute de la mer

Logement globalement bien équipé
La douche pourrait être améliorée (rideau qui ne tient pas, on innonde tout à chaque fois), le canapé est un peu dur et la cuisine mériterait un plan de travail. Mais c'est un logement de vacances, donc ce n'est pas très grave ;)
