Host was super friendly and helpful, waited at the gate to let us in and we parked the motorbike right outside his mother's house, and the whole area had a security gate. There was a coffee machine, ample coffee, and a washing line with pegs on the patio. Good shower, and some toiletries available. Comfortable bed.Train station for Caserta or Naples is 1km away. Overall, due to an extremely pleasant host, an excellent experience
We were unlucky that the first 2 restaurants we went too, we're both closed, so we walked around for over an hour before finding a tiny place selling pizza by the slice. There are a couple of supermarkets, but I wouldn't recommend walking, this place is REALLY designed around using a car.. We walked to the train station the next day, and unfortunately they were running a reduced service for maintenance, and the next train wasn't for 4 hours, so we walked the train 3km to Caserta. Again, I don't recommend it. We hike a lot and are fit, but many pavements just disappear, and there is so much litter. Aircon in bedroom was fine, but the kitchen/ diner area was like an oven, even with the doors open. This area really needs an aircon to be enjoyed. There was no washing up liquid in the kitchen, but if we'd asked, it would have been provided. Needs cotton sheets instead of a polyester mix and a 2nd pillow to make the sleep better
