Be informed
I usually don’t leave negative reviews for any business because I don’t want to harm anyone’s livelihood, and we were actually willing to overlook some issues. But the interaction we had with the manager and the person responsible for guest communication convinced us that future guests should know what to expect from this property.
Although the apartment looks good at first glance – it’s spacious and gets a lot of light – the kitchen furniture is extremely old and many of the appliances are outdated. The place wasn’t clean when we arrived; we even found dirty kitchen utensils.
The check-in experience was also difficult. It was extremely hot outside, and we had our two young children with us. We received no timely information about the check-in process. No one messaged us directly to say it was a self-check-in, despite having our phone number. This wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the listing either. We only found out by randomly trying to contact someone from the hotel staff, hoping someone could assist us. No one met us or helped us in any way. The keypad system was confusing – there were no clear instructions, and the code we were given on Booking didn’t even work at first because of some kind of software error.
During our six-day stay, no cleaning was done and towels were not changed even once. The most unpleasant issue, however, was the hot water. You either had to take cold showers or risk getting burned. There was no middle ground, which was extremely frustrating. So we ended up taking cold showers the entire time.
On the last day, we tried to request a later check-out so we could squeeze in a last beach visit. We reached out to the property manager and received no reply. We were completely ghosted. Not even a polite “no.” Just silence. We tried also the booking message chat.
