The setting couldn't have been better with the cabin in the orchard next to the apple and pear trees, fields and hills behind and the farmhouse, with a distant view of a church tower ahead. The whole place was buzzing with activity - animal activity - all the while we were there. The geese came to eat the apples and the hens came along behind. The cows were the chattiest we'd ever heard, calling to each other all the time. The sheep and the ducks were a little more reserved down at the bottom of the garden. The farm is just a few minutes from the charming town of Bridport and the coast including the amazing sight of Chesil Beach. We also visited Portland Bill with its striking lighthouse and colourful beach huts and there are many more interesting places within just a few miles.

About the only thing might be the surface of the entry drive, coming into the farm itself, which could be a bit rough on cars not designed for country driving. It was fine with care but might be more difficult if the weather wasn't as fine and dry as we had it.

Absolutely stunning farm, animals were wonderful, chalet was very well equipped, cream tea on arrival. Tessa is an outstanding host, our children were so mesmerised with the entire experience. We are returning in October!
