Very disappointing experience – lack of transparency and no willingness to resolve the issue

Inside the apartment there was a locked room that was not mentioned anywhere in the listing. It was unclear what was behind the door or whether access by third parties was possible, which raised serious concerns for us. We decided to leave immediately because the situation caused fear and discomfort for my child, and we raised the issue at that time. This is not a minor detail but a relevant aspect of the apartment that should be clearly disclosed in advance. The host later confirmed that the door leads to a basement/storage area, but maintained that this is “normal” and does not need to be disclosed. What is particularly concerning is the complete lack of willingness to address the issue or find any reasonable solution. Equally disappointing is that, despite this situation, there has been no meaningful response or resolution so far via Booking.com. Based on this experience, I strongly recommend being very cautious when booking this property.
