Everything. The staff are so welcoming and warm and everything runs smoothly. Lovely onsen, large and clean rooms. Excellent location. Snow monkeys. The dinners and breakfasts were great and all of the staff, especially Nike & the dining staff took such good care of us. This was a highlight of our trip to Japan and the perfect place to stay in Norikura. We hired a car from Matsu moto, but you could easily access everywhere by bus, incl Kamikochi.

The onsen was nice and the location is great - close to the trails.
Due to some unforeseen weather changes, we had to start a hike earlier and therefore cancel one night and leave very early in the morning. It wasn’t possible to do anything about the cancellation, which is understandable, but despite having booked breakfast they did not offer anything in return e.g. something we could take with us.
The room only had extremely bright light which one couldn’t dim.
