If you are staying in the colonial district, it is definitely one of the best options. Just some meters from Calle El Conde and close to all relevant historic sites. The facilities are clean and the staff is very kind.
I would no longer stay in the colonial district. The area is small and all relevant historic sites can be visited in just a few hours. Calle El Conde is lacking in maintenance, many stores are closed, and the adjacent neighborhoods are not areas I would visit as a tourist. The accommodation felt a bit expensive for the area. Hence, I would prefer to stay in other areas of the city, like Piantini, and just come one day to see the colonial district.
