Staying at this family‑run homestay near Sewu Waterfall was absolutely one of the best experiences during our Java trip.
Nestled among lush tropical plantations, the location is incredible. We could see the smoking volcano towering over the village right from our bungalow and the open‑air dining terrace. The whole property is beautifully laid‑out, with cozy private bungalows, well‑kept gardens, a lovely swimming pool, and a spacious rooftop restaurant with panoramic mountain views.
Run by a warm local family, the service is heartfelt and genuine. The homemade food served here is surprisingly delicious — we enjoyed hearty breakfasts with local fresh fruits, and tasty Indonesian dishes for our meals. It is extremely convenient for visiting Sewu Waterfall, just a short drive away.
Rooms are clean and comfortable, the night atmosphere is peaceful, surrounded by tropical greenery. If you are exploring the waterfalls and volcanoes around Lumajang, this hidden gem is highly recommended. We would love to come back again.
