Het huisje is gelegen op het prachtige Achill Island (doe de wandelingen die ze aanraden in het tourismekantoor!). Een wasmachtine met voldoende wasmiddel was voor ons, op het einde van onze reis, nuttig en nodig. Er was ook voldoende materiaal om zelf te koken.
De relatief goedkope prijs heeft er wellicht mee te maken, maar verwacht je aan een relatief oud huisje. Het water uit de douche liep echt niet. Quasi geen stroom. Dat is een serieuze tegenvaller, want uiteindelijk ben je in het huisje meestal gewoon om te slapen en te douchen.

We genuinely felt as though we were staying at our grandmother’s house, with a warm, homely atmosphere full of character and memories. Being just a short walk from the beach was another big advantage. An authentic and charming experience on Achill Island!

It’s a wonderful location with brilliant views, it’s quiet and relaxing with only a short walk to the nearest beach but the whole island is littered with stunning beaches anyway
