The breakfast was very excellent, wide variety of options and freshly cooked eggs, porridge etc freely offered in addition to the general spread. Dining room staff were very welcoming and helpful full.
The cloth sun loungers were very worn and heavily stained in many instances. The general pool surrounds, spa and decor in many areas could do with upgrading to provide a fresher, more tranquil surround.

This is a peaceful, little gem of a hotel with beautiful surroundings close to the sea. I liked the ambiance.
The pool area needs attention to bring it up to a similar standard to the back of the hotel. More greenery would serve it well.

The room was small but cosy, with a warm and comfortable atmosphere that made it easy to relax. Most of the staff were very helpful, always friendly and ready to assist with anything we needed. Breakfast was lovely too, with plenty of tasty and fresh options.
The room and balcony were much smaller than expected, and the usual selection of teas and coffees was missing, just one small pod and no normal-sized mugs for hot drinks. We had to request several basic items that should already have been provided, such as a bottle opener (especially odd given they stock capped bottles in the fridge), teaspoons, and extra water, as there was never enough for two people. The pool is unfortunately by a busy main road, so not as serene as the photos look. At one point, we asked reception to book a table at a nearby restaurant; they assured us it was done, but when we arrived, we were told there was no booking, which was extremely embarrassing. Most frustrating of all, we were not informed upon booking or at any point during our stay that a major annual marathon would be taking place on our departure day. Instead, we were only told the day before, leaving us panicked and stressed. They knew the entire road would be closed, yet rather than offering solutions, they repeatedly asked us what we wanted to do, even suggesting my 70-year-old mum and I walk our luggage miles up the road just to reach a taxi. This completely ruined our last day and could easily have been avoided had they communicated properly from the start. We ultimately chose to leave early and stay elsewhere to salvage the end of our trip. Absolutely furious at this complete lack of care.
