The location was ok as I was visiting the menin gate memorial. The location was quite enough even despite being opposite a pub. The host was waiting for us outside and helped us get access to the building. Nice lounge/dining area. The accommodation was very clean and tidy.
The lobby, stairs, hallways and accommodation had a very very bad strong stale cigarette smell. I know the property says over 3 floors or includes stairs but what it doesnt say is there is 6 flights to the bedrooms and toilets. 4 flights to the dining/lounge area. 49 steps in total. Its my own fault but really struggled as they are steep steps and I have poor mobility as does my dad. It needs to state very clearly DO NOT BOOK IF YOU HAVE POOR MOBILITY. The keys for the whole property, including the bedrooms where the same as the bathroom key and the bathroom lock had the key in the door so other people staying below us could have had access to our whole accommodation. The listing said washing machine but there wasn't. The beds where ok but very hard. Also I was told 2 large beds in each of the 2 bedrooms. There was only 1 large bed per bedroom. This was ok for me but was given incorrect information. The photos online need to be much clearer on the layout of the property. Like say this room is on the 2nd floor and has lounge and kitchen. This room is room 1 and is on floor 3. Room 2 on floor 3. To be honest. I wont be staying there again nor would I recommend it due to the stale cigarette smell throughout the property. Disgusting. And the stairs.

Fijn appartement. Wel een beetje apart dat je via het trappenhuis op twee verschillende verdiepingen kamers hebt. Beneden is de keuken en aparte zitkamer en op de bovenste etage twee tweepersoons slaapkamers met fantastische bedden en een ok douche/WC. De inrichting is niet uitbundig maar vooral (IKEA) functioneel. De locatie is echt geweldig. Vlakbij het marktplein en de menenpoort. En ondanks het cafe voor de deur: het is rustig.
Er is weinig mis met het appartement. Wij vonden het wat onpersoonlijk. Er mag iets meer gedaan worden aan de aankleding. Op de trap naar beneden was de trapbekleding losgelaten en elke keer werd het weer (zonder reparatie) teruggelegd.

Zeer ruim verblijf over 2 verdiepingen, van alle gemakken voorzien, fijn zitje buiten, airco's in alle kamers, middenin het centrum.
Vanaf de foto's lijken er 2 badkamers te zijn maar dit was er 1. Voor ons geen probleem maar goed om te weten dat het plafond bij de toilet erg laag en schuin is, het was ook te zien dat meerdere mensen hun hoofd al hadden gestoten :) De badkamer bij dit appartement heeft ook geen raam, dus het was daar nogal warm. Verder maakte de airco op de slaapkamer enkele keren een raar geluid 's nachts, hier werden we helaas wakker van. Verder een top verblijf!
