The building is glorious. My bedroom was great. Restaurant area is incredible. Gym facilities very good. Lovely staff.

A lovely stay, but had lots of ideas of how to make it better. Bedside lamps too big and powerful, not the sort of gentle light you’d want as you wind down. Change the light bulbs. For a hotel with a spa, you’ll get customers coming for health and welbeing reasons, I would have expected more healthy options on the menu, at the restaurant and at the bar. And I don’t mean one caesar salad. A bit more lentils, beans, crunchy veg, roast sweet potato, etc Meals have been good but the salad dressings need work, its overly sweet salad cream type flavour. The building is amazing, you should share more about the history of the place. The library is a lovely room. Staff are lovely, and great that they get along, but toning down the loud banter going on audibly int the corridor at breakfast would be good. A walking map. Saw a couple of people who wanted to go for a walk in the countryside, but staff weren’t really able to direct them. Bar furniture and setting a bit tired. But the library next door is great.

Loved the ambience and spa. Room was good value. Food quality was very good.

The meet and greet at dinner was a bit odd, seemed only one individual had that role and, therefore, was a bit stretched. Didn't detract from a fantastic night away though!

The property and location are simply stunning, well managed and run by amazing staff who genuinely can’t do enough to help. A truly terrific team. I have to make a special mention regarding Abdul. Never have I experienced such dedicated customer service, from such an enlightening person. Always making sure all the customers had his personal attention and were being looked after with a smile and charismatic personality.

Absolutely nothing.

£100 `security deposit` was taken not held on my card not something i have experienced at any of the other handpicked hotels. front desk staff also very militant
