Great location, friendly staff, beautiful pool, comfortable room.

It was in a great location with night markets a short walk away
If I have to really be honest the only thing I didn’t like was the noise from the staff next to my room , I was next to the storage room and restaurant, room 201 , it woke me up a few times but my overall stay was great

Staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much effort. Breakfasts were great with lots of options. Was really great having it delivered to your room. The pool was very welcoming and a lovely size. Location was central to local markets and restaurants were handy. Also plenty of places to get a massage if you wanted to, manicures etc.
We would definitely come back here if we were staying in Hua Hin again.
Bathroom was a bit tired and could do with some upgrading.

We recently stayed at Bann Duangkaew Resort for 10 nights. The resort is what I would describe as a boutique property, with only 11 rooms in total, which gives it a quiet and intimate feel.
Location:
The location is excellent. There are two local markets nearby, the beach is only about 300 metres away, and the main town area is less than a kilometre away. The Cicada Market is literally just over the side fence, which is very convenient.
Positives:
I would like to highlight the parking/security gentleman – his customer service was excellent, and he was always polite and professional. The housekeeping team also did a very good job, and we had no issues with room cleanliness or servicing.
Conclusion:
Overall, while the location and some staff were great, the lack of flexibility and customer-focused service means we would not choose to stay at Bann Duangkaew Resort again.
What we didn’t like:
While the proximity to Cicada Market is great, it does come with a downside. On the three nights it operates, there is very loud music playing until around 11pm, which can be quite disruptive.
We also had an issue with customer service upon departure. We had stayed for 10 nights – longer than any other guests during our stay, as most seemed to stay only 2–5 nights. We requested a late checkout of just one extra hour (1pm instead of 12pm), but were charged 500 baht. This felt unreasonable, especially given our length of stay and the fact that there were five vacant rooms on the day we left. "The fact that there were so many vacant rooms out of only 11 speaks for itself."
The issue wasn’t the cost itself (approximately AU$25), but rather the principle. It did not give us the impression that the resort values loyal or longer-term guests, nor that they are focused on encouraging repeat business.
For comparison, we are repeat travellers who have stayed multiple times at other resorts, such as The Haven Khao Lak (3 times) and Merlin Beach Resort in Phuket (4 times), where customer service has been far more accommodating.
