Oatlands Park Hotel

Beautiful old mansion which has modern facilities. Located close to Weybridge in gorgeous wooded grounds. Huge rooms and bathrooms .

Nothing. Breakfast was average. Most of the staff were extremely pleasant.

Lovely hotel

No fridge and asked for some nuts at bar thinking they would be free but was charged £4

Very clean and spacious and in beautiful grounds

Nothing I can think of to dislike

The bed was comfortable. The reception was impressive and the staff helpful. There was plenty of parking.

Currently walking with crutches we were told our "Superior" room was on top floor - lift to the second floor and then up two flights of stairs which I was able to manage as they weren't too steep however, there was a steep step up to our bathroom. Our plans had changed from when we made the original booking of room only. We went to the restaurant to ask for a meal but were told that it was very busy and they couldn't accommodate us even though there were many empty tables and a good few that, at 7.30pm, looked like they were set for breakfast. We were told to go the bar area and order a meal there which we did and it took an hour and ten minutes to arrive. The bread on my sandwich was so obviously dry and the Coronation Chicken sauce looking like it had been dried onto the bread a good while before. I had no choice but to return it. A very apologetic lady took it away and returned a short while later with a fresh sandwich which was OK. The chips we ordered were very mediocre although the menu lists them as something special. There was a Henry Vacuum cleaner in the hallway on the second floor by the lift throughout our stay. Surely this is a health and safety issue that needs addressing as this is a family hotel. Also, the paint was peeling off the wall in our bedroom and the skirting boards were rather dusty by the bed.
