Het Best Western in Presov is een relatief nieuw, modern hotel net buiten het centrum van de plaats. Het is circa twintig minuten lopen. De hotelkamer was zeer ruim en daardoor uiterst geschikt voor ons gezin. Doordat het een nieuw hotel is, was alles schoon en goed afgewerkt. Het ontbijt was uitstekend. Presov is een prima uitvalsbasis voor het verkennen van Oost Slowakije. Het hotel ligt in een moderner deel van Presov aan de rand van de uitvalswegen van de stad en op een groter winkelterrein. Parkeergelegenheid en bereikbaarheid waren heel goed. Verwacht echter geen idyllisch hotel.

On the positive side, the rooms were very clean. Although there was no carpet, only small rugs by the bed, the space felt tidy and well-maintained. The room itself was spacious, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made the stay more comfortable.
Hotel is located over small shopping centre - so there is huge, free parking outside.
The hotel was disappointing in several aspects.
Breakfast was a major issue – there were very few tables available, and no one was cleaning them between guests. The food selection was poor, and by 9:00 most dishes were already gone, with no replenishment despite breakfast supposedly being served until 10:30. Guests were waiting for free tables, some even sitting in the lobby and on sofas with their plates because the dining area was so inadequate. Clean plates and cutlery were also missing, and whenever we asked for them, the staff seemed unfriendly and reluctant to help.
The room had additional shortcomings. While it featured floor-to-ceiling windows, the curtains only covered part of them, making it impossible to properly darken the room. The mattress was extremely firm – which may depend on personal preference, but in my opinion, it was one of the hardest I have ever encountered. The rooms were also poorly soundproofed, so I could clearly hear children crying in neighboring rooms as well as doors slamming in the corridor. At the very least, the hotel could improve this by adjusting the doors so that they don’t close with such a loud bang.
There was also no hotel restaurant, no minibar, and not even a bottle of water provided in the room, which felt like a basic amenity that should have been included.

Overall, the stay was far below expectations and not what one would expect from a hotel of this standard.
