I like the history of the house and its renovations that respected the original architecture with modern amenities and safety standards
Be aware that you might have to crouch a little moving from room to room to avoid hitting your head on the original beams

Absolument formidable ! Notre famille a été accueillie comme des rois par la Propriétaire de cette veille maison familiale en plein coeur de Narai-Juku. Cette dame a pris le temps de nous expliquer l'histoire de la maison, nous a tout fait visiter... Nous sommes arrivés un peu tard en voiture depuis Nagoya mais nous avions au préalable échangé par la messagerie Booking et la Propriétaire avait pris la peine de réserver pour nous dans un restaurant du village. Le Monsieur du restaurant nous attendait pour ce repas tardif. Nous avons passé une nuit incroyable dans ce magnifique village traditionnel. C'était un bonheur de se réveiller tôt le matin et de découvrir ce beau village avant l'arrivée des visiteurs. Nos trois enfants ont pu y circuler librement. Je vous recommande cette magnifique maison traditionnelle.
Tout était vraiment parfait ! Merci à la Propriétaire.

We had the best night in Japan at this stay. Our host was so lovely and even offered to drive us to the 7-Eleven to get some snacks for dinner as many places close early. She thoroughly explained how everything in the house worked and was very attentive to assist us with anything we needed.

Amazing hospitality and owner waited when my train got delayed. She even went and get sandwiches for us and make sure she make us feel welcome when we arrived. The place is beautiful, nicely renovated with attention to details and the smell of the natural wood is incredible. It has a wonderful history too and the owner will share with you as well. A must experience for staying in such an ancient historical old town.
