It’s a cute French flat and the interior is very nice. But that’s about it.

We all know the stereotype of the French but this was next level. 1. No instructions for check in. I had to wait hours for a reply from the host. And even the reply was just the same she already gave me. I had no idea which flat it was or where the key safe was, and had to hunt for it myself. 2. The internet didn’t work, so you couldn’t watch tv or use your devices. And I had some work to do which I couldn’t do as no wifi. When I informed the host, I just for a “ that’s strange”. She didn’t care whatsoever that an amenity she said was available didn’t exist. 3. The bath tub plug which is one of those twisty ones, wouldn’t drain, so only my kids had baths and the adults couldn’t even have a shower. 4. The stair gate which is 100% needed for the kids and the sole reason I booked this apartment over a hotel, is broken, the brackets on the wall are literally gone, upstairs and downstairs. Meaning that it can’t be used. 5. The master bed, has a mattress that is so hard you might as well sleep on the floor. The pillows also desperately need replacing. They are so old they are bobbled inside. And I’m also questioning if the bedding was washed as the pillow smelt very heavily of men’s cologne. 6. I’ve traveled Europe with the kids for the last 5 months and this is the least stocked apartment out of all of them. Not even coffee or tea was provided and if your staying for a long period, make sure you have your own spices, oil etc as that also wasn’t provided. 7. Parking is street parking only and this road is extremely busy. We left to go and find a restaurant and came back and had to park 500m away from the flat. Which isn’t ideal with kids.
