Comfortable beds, one or two drink marks on the furniture, and a few scruff marks on the walls to which l took a photo of, but on the whole, it was nice and clean and well furnished. Hot tub. Pool table , darts & games were an added bonus. Easy walk to the front for things to do, shop just up the road. The Albert pub was also just up near the shop. It is best to book, though, as people were getting turned away. We had Sunday lunch there for 20 of us, and it was excellent. We spent our 50th wedding anniversary at the View from Friday 24th july for three days with our children and grandchildren, and we absolutely enjoyed ourselves.
Being opposite flats with unruly tenants sitting out and just staring at you, which was quite unnerving as you were emptying your car.

Lovely big house, plenty room for our family weekend . Beds and bedding are beautiful and comfortable. Lovely presented house.
No problem with the property at all, 🩷
however we did have some one in our party with mobility issues so was a little tricky to get down the stairs to the toilet when in bed so needed another person for help.
You have to be fit to climb to the top floor also. I appreciate this is the property lay out .

The accommodation was as described and well appointed.
There are a lot of steps in this venue, which we knew would be the case. What we did not appreciate was that you can not go to the toilet from any bedroom without negotiating stairs. You need to be aware of this should you be of an age where mobility is ‘uncertain’ and you need to make visits during the night.
You also need to be aware that all the lights on the stairs are on sensors, this is handy when exiting the bedroom but awkward when the lights all go out whilst sat on the toilet at 3am!
Communications – Quick to respond but interestingly you never know who you are liaising with! All text messages via booking.com are sent from ‘The View Team’ or just ending ‘Thanks’. Not an issue but not engaging or endearing.
Toilet paper! Paying high end accommodation fee’s, I never would have expected this to be an issue! See the text and response below:

Hi. We’re running low on toilet paper. Where do you keep it stored, please?
Hi we make sure every toilet has a full one on arrival we do not keep spare available as this would cost us a lot of money. Any extra needed you would need to purchase we are a self catering holiday let not a hotel i am afraid.

Hot tub – Very clean and tidy. However, tepid tub would be more appropriate! The top temperature was limited below it’s maximum and you could tell.
Perhaps this is indicative of the ‘View Team’ attempt to minimise costs (tepid tub, one loo roll, lights on sensor for minimum time)
