I recently stayed at Aqueduct 1359 Hotel Apartments for the second time, and I was just as happy with my stay as I was the first time in July 2025.
The property is in a lovely, quiet residential part of Kampala, which makes it feel peaceful and relaxing while still being close to everything. One of my favorite things about staying there is the view. The apartments on the 3rd and 4th floors have a particularly beautiful view of Kampala, including Naguru Hill and Nakasero. There’s something really nice about waking up and seeing the city from up there.
But what really made the stay special was the service. Tonny, Paul, and the rest of the team were all so warm and attentive. They were genuinely thoughtful, and it never felt like we were just being treated like hotel guests. There was a personal touch to the way they looked after us that I really appreciated.
We were also celebrating our anniversary during this stay, and somehow the team found out. They surprised us by arranging a candlelight dinner, completely unexpected. It was such a lovely gesture and honestly one of the highlights of our stay. Those are the kinds of little things you remember long after you leave.

Staff onsite were helpful and attentive making our stay as comfortable as possible. The balcony was a special touch especially in the mornings where I was able to enjoy the view. Breakfast and lunch were served on time and I like the laundry facility which came in handy.
I had a minor issue which ultimately led to miscommunication between staff members and also meant that it dampened my experience as a customer. I was able to provide feedback on this so I hope it will be taken on board. Whilst the food options were okay, considerations should be made in terms of having a menu and I also feel that the chef’s choice on breakfast should be optional as I did not particularly enjoy it.

Security around the property and cleanliness were outstanding. Plus, the rooms are well presented/ decorated. I was also grateful that they were able to provide playing cards. Plus, appreciated the couple of water bottles supplied each day.
Food options were not great plus there were hidden (or lack of transparency) charges for the laundry services which were astronomically expensive to say the least. Nonetheless, I did not like that there was no option to pay by card option for these services as cash was fiercely demanded. Of which I was told that this was communicated to me at the start of the trip (it was not!).
Also, the door bell sounds are irritating could so with a standard door bell. Wifi coverage on the property was poor, it did not work past the living room because there was only one router covering the whole flow which was installed in the apartment opposite to mine.
Additionally, the view from the balcony overlooked a grave sight!
