Once we finally found the location, after weaving our way through the cobblestone lanes for what seemed like hours (my fault as I didn't check my WhatsApp App, which was FULL of very useful and precise information), we found the room and facilities absolutely delightful. The location was excellent and within easy access to the swim spots along the water front and the fabulous Monte Carlo bar, run by a beautiful lady named Andja (and her son). The room itself looked recently renovated and had lots of great features and quirks, including a turntable record player and various albums available to play. There was also a lovely pineapple shaped ice bucket provided in the room which we were able to get filled at the cafe just a few steps (stairs) from our accommodation so that was wonderful, particularly given that ice seems to be a little difficult to obtain in Croatia... sometimes it's the little things that make all the difference!
We had a problem with the toilet cistern running continuously on our last night and had to turn off the water when we weren't using the WC as the noise was irritating. What we didn't realise was that, by shutting off the water to our toilet, we inadvertently shut off the water supply to the other unit in the building which was more of an issue for the other guests than us. I sent a message to our host to let her know what we had done and luckily she was able to contact us to let us know what had occurred before we left so that the other hotel guests could have access to the water supply. Just one of those things that can happen, without any fault of the hosts, and was able to be resolved but that's the only negative thing I have to say.

Once we found it, the location was really nice in the old city and so close to the square and the sea. We appreciated the little touches such as the record player and albums, the amenities and the decor of the apartment.
We are very tall people and we were unable to stand upright in the bathroom. We didn’t like the clear glass in the door - would have liked some coverings. Also finding the location was difficult.

La camere sono due, consiglio di accertarsi su quale si stia prenotando. L'alloggio è molto vicino ad un accesso al mare, scogli a cui si arriva tramite scalette e quello può essere comodo, ma essendo molto centrale diventa difficile spostarsi altrove perchè bisogna lasciare la macchina fuori dal centro. Doccia molto spaziosa, comodo il fatto che sia separata dal bagno.
L'alloggio (Balbi 2) non è un appartamento ma una camera molto angusta, che affaccia su strada, in un luogo di continuo passaggio.
Non è possibile aprire la finestra perchè passano continuamente persone, non c'è riservatezza ed è assalita da un continuo rumore. Per chi non conosce Rovigno c'è da sapere che una volta stabiliti al centro non è facile uscire, perchè i parcheggi intorno sono molto cari e bisogna parcheggiare la macchina più lontano. La camera è molto vicina al mare, ma non è fronte mare ed è circondata da locali e da un continuo via vai. È piuttosto buia e va bene solo per dormire. Il centro di Rovigno è molto costoso e costruito su un turismo spinto. Intorno ci sono posti molto belli che è più facile visitare stando fuori dalla zona turistica. Se si ama stare tra tante persone, vicino alla possibilità di fare un tuffo senza badare ai prezzi può essere comodo. Per chi cerca tranquillità e prezzi umani meglio cercare altrove.
