Nice location, but property seriously dated & hygiene issues. In need of some serious repairs!
The area / town that the property was located in is nice & peaceful, seems like a quiet close knit community. But the street itself seems a bit empty and scary, especially as the property is right at the end and is starting to be overgrown with trees & nature
We stayed in Japan for a month, and travelled between properties every 2/3 days & unfortunately its safe to say this is the worst property we stayed in. I don't usually ever leave negative reviews but I believe based on the price we paid, it is only fair we leave a genuine review of the experience we had.
On the exterior, the property is overgrown on all sides with heavy nature. Trees, weeds and bushes swarm all round the house. From the point you park the car on the drive to the front door, there was countless different coloured spiders and webs all over which was scary 🤣
The host is also slow to respond [last message we sent to the host they didn't even send a reply at all].
Also, at night there seemed to be an animal on the roof or something as you could hear squirming sounds. We also encountered one cockroach in the living room area.
All of the amenities and equipment inside the property was very dated & dirty [yet everything does work]. The light in the hallway didn't work. The roof in the downstairs bathroom was also broken which is a serious safety concern. As well as this the water pressure [throughout the house] was extremely slow & not powerful.
The AC in the living room would not stay open [the blade that tilts was broken & would not open]
It is clear the property is in need of some serious refurbishment / modernisation. As well as regular cleaning. For the price we paid, it was not worth the money in our opinion.
I hope the host takes on this genuine criticism and improves the property, as we believe with some refurbishment, it could be a lovely guest house.

The rooms and overall indoor space were adequate for a large group stay.
The outdoor area was not properly maintained. The grass was overgrown, and the surroundings appeared unclean.
We found a dead raccoon behind the property, which was unpleasant and concerning.The BBQ area was not cleaned or maintained properly, and the ground around it was dirty.There was a strong unpleasant smell coming from the toilet near the kitchen, which made the stay uncomfortable at times.Considering the price, we expected a better-maintained property and better overall value.
