The apartment itself is beautiful, comfortable and modern. It’s in a great location, very accessible to the town centre on foot. The building has been renovated to a high standard. There is a parking spot, which is very handy.
I hate leaving negativity especially as the apartment itself was very lovely. Sadly, the apartment had not been cleaned. The bathroom was filthy and someone had left a deposit floating in the toilet. The kitchen cupboards were covered in sticky jam hand marks and the surfaces were dusty. There were no clean towels. This was all very odd as the bed had been made. I contacted the host immediately. She seemed friendly and willing to sort things out. She couldn’t organise a clean until our final day - which was quite pointless (I used cleaning products under the sink and cleaned the apartment myself). She did offer an additional day’s stay but as our ferry and further accommodation were already booked this was not an option. She dropped a bottle of wine, bag of crisps and a bar of chocolate outside as an apology. However, I had paid a steep cleaning fee and the apartment had not been cleaned. I asked for this to be refunded, which the host agreed to. I had to keep reminding her to do so, which was very annoying. She finally refunded on our last night. It spoilt what could have been a perfect stay.
