What a hidden gem of a place! We’d booked a Nile cruise and decided to spend the 3 nights beforehand acclimatising in Villa Pure Luxor. Initially on arrival about 2000hrs I wondered where the taxi was taking us because it’s well off the main road and down a muddy, beaten track that is slowly being renovated. Once we met the owner, Ahmed we knew we’d struck gold. He is such a great guy and has a huge heart. We were impressed by his dedication and commitment to building a fine villa (on his own) next to banana plantations. It means it’s very peaceful and you hear many birds during the day with cicadas at night. Zero mosquitoes too! A big plus!
The rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable. Air conditioning too thank goodness because it was 38-41degrees!
Breakfast was served up on the terrace and we’d look out at the local people cutting long grass with scythes as fodder for their animals before it got too hot. Young children playing in the street. The pool was a welcome place to chill too and Ahmed has designed his villa so that there is shade on that side of the building until the afternoon when the sun comes racing around the corner.
We loved the terrace in the evenings too to watch the sunset.
It felt clean, comfortable, inviting and most of all safe 💛
The only thing I can think of where I can find a tiny bit of fault is that it’s a fair walk from the main road but Ahmed collected us water and milk anyway ✅

Great apartment, really clean, big rooms. Quiet at night, staff very helpful. V close to valley of the kings, temples and West Bank attractions. Owner couldn’t be more helpful, gave us great advice and was brilliant at running us around everywhere. No need to book trips online beforehand, hotel can provide at a good price.
