Very Disappointing Stay – Poor Cleanliness, Lack of Communication, and Unreturned Deposit
We arrived at the property around 1:00 AM with two small children, and our experience was extremely disappointing from the very beginning. The cleanliness of the place was completely unacceptable.
The toilet was filthy, with a strong odor, hair all over, and even cockroaches. The sofas were also dirty and covered in hair. It was clear that the bedsheets had not been changed—there were visible stains and hair on them. The second bedroom was in even worse condition, with vomit stains on the bed frame and a generally unclean bed.
I immediately tried contacting the hosts via WhatsApp, phone calls, and Booking.com, but received no response. The hosts were online and visibly reading my messages, yet chose not to reply. This lack of response was especially frustrating and stressful given that we had two young children with us.
The following morning, I continued trying to reach them with multiple calls and messages. Again, no reply until after 9:00 AM—more than an hour later. When they finally responded, they simply said they would arrange for housekeeping to clean the property, which should have been done well before our arrival.
To make matters worse, they had promised that the security deposit would be returned within 24 hours after inspection. However, it has now been more than two days, and I have still not received my deposit back.
This was not the experience we expected for a family holiday. Between the poor hygiene, lack of communication, and the delay in returning the deposit, I would not recommend this property to anyone.
