I ragazzi che gestiscono la struttura super accoglienti e disponibili. La perfetta location per gustare la vera Thailandia, situata nel cuore della foresta, molto distante dai centri abitati, tra natura e cascate. Un pisto tranquillo di 100 anime locali. Gentilezza e sorrisi. Chi gestisce la struttura ha anche un piccolo market, non abbiamo incontrato altri turisti, un piccolo bar tra un ruscello e cascate è rimasto aperto tutta la sera solo per noi. Lo staff ha cucinato per noi ottimo cibo, abbiamo dormito benissimo, ci hanno portati a passeggiare nella foresta, a vedere un tempio e conoscere il monaco presente. Il giorno dopo ci hanno portato a Mae Kampong chiedendoci pochissimo, ci hanno fatto da guida facendoci scoprire cose che conosce solo la gente del luogo, hanno accettato con molta difficoltà soldi extra per il servizio offerto e ci hanno fatto dei regali personali come loro ricordo.
Mi è piaciuto tutto. Per chi vuole comodità eccessive non è il posto adatto, ma è perfetto per chi vuole immergersi nella tranquillità del posto e conoscere meglio le persone locali. Il bagno è fuori dalla struttura alloggio, ma basta sapersi calare nell'atmosfera nel luogo per non farci caso.

The hosts Don and Eve were excellent, nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was a traditional vegetable rice with an egg on it and was lovely as was the evening meal they cooked and brought round for us to eat on the balcony.
The village was very peaceful and Don gave us a tour of it and showed us where he was growing coffee,tea,bananas and papayas. The accommodation was traditional and very quaint, the wifi was excellent and the balcony was lovely to relax on and listen to the stream below. Communication via whatsapp after booking was excellent and although Don and Eve only spoke a little English they used google translate to help us. The night we spent here was a welcome break from the buzz of Chiang Mai. We booked Don to take us back to Chiang Mai stopping off at the large coffee tree and Mae Kampong on the way. We had a great time.
Please be aware that the roads going up to Poka Homestay are quite steep and windy and being up in the mountains it gets cool at night. This is only a tiny village with just a small minimart next to the cabin and a little temple but we preferred this to the busier village of Mae Kampong about 30-45 mins away.

Es war ein sehr außergewöhnlicher Aufenthalt und wunderschön. Der Vermieter ist absolut hilfsbereit und immer erreichbar. Das Homestay ist gleich neben an von 2 älteren Thais. Sie kümmern sich auch um alles. Man kann Essen bestellen und sie haben auch einen kleinen Kiosk. Der Weg nach Mae kampong ist etwas weiter aber wenn man gerne Motorbike fährt ist eine interessante Fahrt und schön. Die Unterkunft selber ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Wir wären auch noch länger geblieben aber leider mussten wir weiter. Wenn man einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt welcher total authentisch ist will, ist man im Poka Homestay Goldrichtig!! Es entspricht absolut den Fotos!
