Empuriabrava is a holiday town with canals and good shops and restaurants. The location was fine for supermarket shop and walking or driving to the beach and we were were grateful to be allowed to bring our quiet well behaved old dog. We were able tp park in the supermarket car park across the road. Hot water was fine on gas bottles, washing and washing up no problem. The local agent spoke fluent French and was very helpful.
There is a flight of stairs to the flat and numerous lockable gates. The owners did their best with portable air coolers and fans but the only proper small AC unit was in the lounge area and it was a struggle to keep the bedrooms cool. Hot water was fine on portable gas but oven difficult to use and we managed with microwave and hob. It would be good to have written instructions at the property. There was no promised DVD player and the TV /satellite was set to German channels apart from one English news channel, we could not access Disney plus for our 3 year old granddaughter,. and we couldn't play the DVDs we had brought... however it wasn't a bad thing to read books and make models with toys we had brought thankfully in case.. A DVD player and some English/French/Spanish language children's DVDs/story books would be a good addition to the flat.

La casa es genial! És amplia, llega buena luz natural, y los electrodomesticos funcionan bien, aparentemente. El amfitrion nos recibio con los brazos abiertos tan pronto como llego. Y el vecindario és muy simpàtico.
La cama és de calidad y estaba en buen estado, igual que los utensilios de cocina.
El chico tardo 15 minutos en venir. Tanto para recibirnos, como para despesirnos. Tener paciència los siguientes, la puntualidad no és su fuerte.
La mesa cojea, y no hay wifi como indica el anuncio,
Fuimos incapaces de encender la caldera dos veces. Por no hablar del horno.

L appartement est grand et le linge de maison est propre
L’appartement est vieillissant, le quartier n’est pas top et assez loin de la mer à pied. De plus, j’ai été obligé de laver la vaisselle car cette dernière n’était pas propre…le propriétaire est très gentil mais je pense qu’il devrait vérifier que tout est ok quand les locataires partent car de la vaisselle sale est rangée dans les placards …
