About this house rental
This spectacular, one-of-a-kind log house was built by us in 2003. The 18' Engleman Spruce logs are from Southern Utah and were designed and built specially for our home -- truly a work of art! Sitting on 17.5 acres, high upon a ridge, the views are nothing less than amazing, including the Continental Divide. Perfectly secluded while still be 15 minutes away from Granby Ski Ranch, Grand Elk Golf Club, and the town of Granby. Hot Sulphur Springs, and Grand Lake, are also just 25 minutes away.

Each room in the house has been carefully designed and decorated featuring high-end furnishings and comfort at every turn. An individual theme has been given to each of the five master suites, including the Luxury Master Suite, the Bear Room, the Moose Room, the Fish Room, and the Cowboy Room. All bedroom mattresses were replaced as of May, 2023, and are gloriously comfortable. If you are a movie or game buff, check out our movie/game room with the projector TV and 11-foot movie screen with surround sound for a movie theater experience.
This home is family friendly: there are 2 dishwashers, 2 ovens, 4 washers and dryers, and 2 fireplaces.
New carpets were installed throughout the home in June, 2024.
We are a NON-SMOKING, NO ANIMAL home. The owner's children, as well as some of our guests, have severe reactions to these allergens, and in order to safeguard their health and well-being, these requirements are non-negotiable.
All four seasons are enjoyed and appreciated in this home. It is a great gathering place, whether for relaxation, fun, beauty, nature or to create memories of a lifetime. Our favorites are tubing down our road in the winter and building a fire to roast s'mores in the summer!

This mountain log home is an amazing property especially for a large family! The views are spectacular! Parking is plentiful. The numerous bathroom and bedroom spaces along with the abundance of washers and dryers gave our children’s families privacy accompanied by large entertaining spaces in which to come together to visit, play games and eat. The kitchen space and amenities are wonderful for big family cooking. The home was very clean and we were even able to check in a little early. Our only downsides were: the sulphur smell of the water; hot water worse than cold which did seem to subside with use. The 2 upstairs bedrooms did get hot at night and we could not seem to correct the temp with the thermostat. Opening windows did cool down the rooms but that made it difficult for family members with allergies. Finally the smoke detector in the upstairs Moose bedroom kept chirping, as when the battery needs changing, 2 days before we were scheduled to leave. The TALL ceiling height and the position of the detector behind a large elk shoulder mount made the battery difficult to change which we were directed to do ourselves by the property owner. Garage ladder was not tall enough. We were directed to an extension ladder under the deck but didn’t feel comfortable getting that out especially later in the evening. Family members could not sleep in that room with the chirping. Other than those issues, we loved our family vacation at this amazing log mountain home.

Highly recommended for a log home stay. We had deer and elk come up to the back of the home, and there was lots of room for 11 people.
